update:

Ok so we started with 3 gallons of water that we started to heat...then we steeped the Victory Malt and the Crystal 60L malt for about 25 minutes. Then we heated it up to a boil for another 25 minutes. After that we then took the Cascade hops and added them to it for about 10 minutes. Then we took the Warrior hops and put them in and boiled for another 10 then added that last of the Cascade hops for another 15 minutes. ( I plan on using more Warrior hops to dry hop it once it goes in the secondary fermenter) After the boil we put it in my bathtub filled with cold water to cool it. Once it was down to about 70 degrees, we topped it off with 2 more gallons of warm water. Then we siphoned it into the primary fermenter...added some yeast making sure it was stirred well then stored it. It has been about 24 hours now and their is some bubbling action already which is cool. I'm gonna let it sit for about 5-7 days then put it into the secondary fermenter to get some clarity and dry hop it. So we shall see!

  1. Wow sounds yummy. I don't think I've had any beer with Warrior in it. Keep me posted on how it comes out.

  2. I prefer using higher alpha acidic hops as it tends to give it a much "hoppier" taste/aroma to it. (not all the time) Warrior, Nugget and Tomahawk hops are the best! You will definitely get a sample of this batch and maybe you can rate it for me?
