Tonight I got the chance to sample the Spaten Dunkel. Well what can I say, this is your typical Euro Dunkel which comes in @ 4.9% abv. This brew is sweet and light bodied (like Newcastle) yet has that Euro bittnerness to it (almost skunky). Actually not a bad brew! Hardly any hoppiness to it...more maltiness than anything. Roasted malts but nothing compared to a good ol fashioned American Craft brew. Overall not bad...3 out of 5 beer chips....try it!
